Remove Listing From Google

Is it possible to remove a rip off report from Search Engines’s first page.

An increasing amount of individuals as well as businesses are being affected by so called ‘consumer complaints sites. What is frustrating and arguably unfair is that these sites offer no opportunity for legitimate individuals and businesses to remove those listings.
Often with these so called ‘consumer complaints sites’, anybody can claim they have gotten ripped off by companies and individuals while remaining comfortably anonymous.. Even if you can prove that the allegations are incorrect, those listings will not be taken down by the admin of the site.
Having a negative listing rank on the first page is a very disturbing situation In many situations its’ impossible to find out where the ambush is coming from.Is this a legitimate customer complaint? Or maby an employee or competitor? What comes natural is to reply to the post and respond to these allegations on those forums. However, a response is a really bad idea.  Here is why:
The more you interact with these sites the higher the chances are that you inflame the situation. There have been attempts made to force these sites to take down the negative listing with a lawsuit. However, these sites argue that they are only providing a platform and are not to be held responsible for the content that is being hosted on those sites.

By posting your comments you actually promote the negative listing. Search Engines like Bing look at this increased activity as an indication that this listing might be relevant and list the URL higher on search engines. Search Engines in general considers this posting as a sign that there is an interest in this article. In addition to that chances are that the person who posted the negative comments will reply to your rebuttal, which has a tendency to boost the rankings of those listings.

Removing a rip off report?

Once you have a listing on RipOffReport you cannot get the listing taken down by the administrator. Even if the individual who wrote the post decides to remove the post. Not even the person who wrote the complaint can actually remove the listing after the fact.

If I can’t remove a ripoff report, what can I do?
It is possible to remove a Rip Off Report from the top pages on relevant search engines. Our strategy involves the following steps.

First Step: As part of an Online Reputation Management campaign we develop a large list of positive listings. Those listings come in the form of small sites, business profiles, article syndications and press releases, with the purpose to fill the top pages on search engines and outrank the rip off report. In many cases this approach by itself requires an additional step in order to remove the ripoff report from the top on Search Engines. Your positive listings need to be promoted in order to over rank and push down the rip off report.

Second Step: In about 8 weeks many of the newly created profiles are going to start to rank in the first pages on search engines. Depending on the keyword competitiveness some of them have already surpassed the rip off report and essentially pushed the listing downward. However, In order to remove the rip off report from the top page on Google we promote listings that are below the rip off report. As these listings surpass the rip off report we focus on a new set of positive listings that are not yet above the rip off report until the negative listings have been replaced by positive URL’s that you now control.
